UWS Yoga Studio, NY Loves Yoga hosts “A Night of Music” at Turtle Bay, Saturday, April 21, 2012

NEW YORK, March 26/Newswire – “A Night of Music" for a local Manhattan community health center at Turtle Bay on Saturday, April 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The fundraiser supports the Callen Lorde Community Health Center, a primary care center that offers heath care service and specialized services for those living with HIV/AIDS. 

"Night of Music" features music from Critically Blue, Lucas Kane Hall, John Gordon, Adam Korn, Ninnone Duffy and an energy healing gong played by Jose Coquenao.

NY Loves Yoga organized the fundraiser with Callen Lorde, the nation's first community HIV clinic, to raise funds for the center's continued services in primary care, women's health, HIV/AIDS care, adolescent care, senior care, transgender care, dental care, sexual health, supportive services, and mental health services. 

“We can achieve so much more as a community...” said Jose Coquenao, Head teacher of NY Loves Yoga.

Critically Blue plays energetic, danceable blues. The band features the roadsy blues energy of M.J. Watkins on vocals and harp together with musicians who add in diverse influences from rock, funk and jazz: Kim Townsend on guitar and vocals; Gary Vetere on bass and Mark Soloff on drums.
